Offaly Student's Background In Fashion Comes From 'Creative Expression'

His collection 'In The Closet' was inspired by a dress he knitted for a doll as a child in his granny's house.

An Offaly fashion student says he's always been encouraged to create and design by expressing himself through clothes. 

Edenderry's Dennis Lawless has had plenty of success in the field, after winning a Brown Thomas Bursary worth €4,000, as well as a mentorship from the executive team, and the River Island NCAD Fashion Design Bursary worth €3,500.

His collection is called 'In The Closet' and it's inspired by his own childhood while knitting a dress for a doll in his granny's house. 

He says it's about elevating creative childhood expression:
