His book, written with Robin Schiller, about the murder of Adrian Donoghue and the pursuit and ultimate arrest of his killer, Aaron Brady has been nominated in the non-fiction book of the year section.
Among the other authors nominated are Andrea Mara, Páraic Kerrigan, Cecelia Ahern, Colm Tóibín and Hayley Kilgallon.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in the Convention Centre in Dublin on Wednesday the 27th of November.
