Retrofitting has been identified as one path for now displaced Bord na Móna and ESB workers.
150 people have completed retrofitting training in Offaly.
The Mount Lucas National Construction Training Centre is hosting the programme, as part of the Midlands Just Transition process.
It comes following the announcement that a new Laois-Offaly Education and Training Board retrofitting centre of excellence will be opened within the next four months.
