Plans were approved subject to 23 conditions.
Plans for 67 new homes in Westmeath have been given the green light.
The decision was made by Westmeath County Council this week.
The housing development is coming to a site in Coosan, Athlone
The development will see the construction of new dwellings, including four-bedroom two-storey detached homes, four-bedroom, two-storey semi-detached houses, and two and three-bed terraced houses.
There will also be an upgrade given to a public sewer to the west of the site in Hillquarter.
All associated site works will be complete as part of the plans, including internal roads and paths, parking facilites and an amenity space.
The development has been given the green light subject to 23 conditions.
