The incident happened around 9.30am.
An armed robbery has taken place at an Offaly Post Office this morning.
Two men in balaclavas entered Clara Post Office around 9:30 this morning with what's believed to be a firearm and a knife and threatened staff.

They left the scene with a sum of cash in a Silver Toyota Avensis 07 D 41514.
No one was injured in the incident.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Tullamore Garda Station on 057 93 27600.
They are also asking for any motorists with dash cam footage who were travelling in the area at the time to contact them.

No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing.
