The fund is to help establish arts and cultural activities in her memory, to create educational, sport and musical scholarships and to promote the Irish language.
A fund in the memory of Ashling Murphy is being officially launched today.
The Offaly teacher was killed while out for a run along the Canal in Tullamore almost 12 months ago.
Her family set up the fund along with the help of a committee to help establish arts and cultural activities in her memory, to create educational, sport and musical scholarships and to promote the Irish language.
The 23 year-old, who died on January 12th, is being remembered as a kind, caring young woman.
