Food and craft markets will play a big part in the festival once again.
One of Westmeath's longest running festivals will "build on the success of last year" after returning following a extended absence.
Athlone River Festival will return this August Bank Holiday weekend from Friday August 1st to Sunday August 3rd.
Following the success of last year's theme, 'Viking River Fest,' it will again be used for this years festivities.
Details of the 2025 programme are set to be unveiled fully in the coming weeks, with a food and crafts market on both sides of the River Shannon set to return.
A international fishing and angling competition will also take place at Bigmeadow.
It's the festival's second year back since Covid - and Chairperson Padraig Hegarty says the 2025 edition will be about building on that success:
