The IDA has acquired 16 large-scale sites outside of Dublin in the past two years.
The Irish Times reports Laois and Westmeath are included in those, and are aimed at re-balancing development away from the Capital.
The locations were chosen based on the IDA's market insights and extensive analysis and consultation.
