A canopy is being installed in one midlands town square to boost outdoor dining and hospitality.
Fáilte Ireland funding of almost €130,000 will provide for the installation, located in the Hynd's Square area of Portlaoise.
The canopy will be translucent and provide cover to enable surrounding restaurants and bars offer open-air dining in the area.
