Childcare Workers Holding Protest Over Ongoing Funding Issues

They say it's time for the Department of Children to act.

Childcare workers and providers are calling for the living wage to be increased.

A national protest has been organised by the Early Years Alliance to take place in Dublin on 5th February.

Educators, providers and parents say a new funding model for services is urgently needed.

Chairperson of Seas Suas, the independent early education and childcare providers group, Athlone's Regina Bushell says action is needed to sustain the sector into the future:
