Communications boards would be of great benefit to children which costs very little, according to a local election candidate.
The provision of these boards in playgrouds across Laois is being proposed by Labour candidate Eoin Barry in Graiguecullen Portarlington.
The aim would be to aid all children, particularly those with difficulties in speech and understanding to communicate and to make these sites more inclusive.
