It will be up to the Courts to provide clarity on the definition of a "durable relationship," if it's needed, according to the Electoral Commission.
People gathered at Tullamore GAA Club yesterday evening as one of four stops by the Commission, as part of the launch of its information campaign on the upcoming referendums.
Voters will be polled on two issues about widening the definition of a family and care within the home.
Speaking in Tullamore, Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Ms. Justice Marie Baker, says the term has a history in Irish law:
