Breeding pairs in the midlands and beyond are on the rise.
There's been an increase in the number of Curlew breeding pairs in 2023.
The long-legged bird has seen a decline in its numbers and range in the past few decades, and was entered into a Conservation Progamme in 2017.
That's being conducted in nine areas, including Lough Ree and Laois and Offaly.
The CCP annual report shows 2023 has seen the highest number of Curlews fledged into the wild since the programme began six years.
It's also found thirty-eight breeding pairs have been confirmed this year, up 12 on last year.
