Offaly County Council are starting their hot water tank scheme to fuel homes in Tullamore.

Offaly County Council is in the process of decarbonising Tullamore.

This initiative is coming off the back of the Climate Action Plan 2024-2029, as they tackle fuel poverty with new technology.

Devices have been installed into hot water tanks in social dwellings throughout the town.

This technology diverts wasted energy to the tanks providing people with free hot water.

John McNally, Climate Action Co-ordinator for Offaly County Council, says they plan to rollout this measure in houses across the Midlands:
