Over 170 homes have been included in the plans.
A decision on a massive housing development in Westmeath is due today.
Marina Quarter Limited is seeking planning permission for 177 new homes on a seven hectare site in Cornamaddy, Athlone.
The development will consist of a mix of two, three or four-storey houses, as well as over 30 apartments and duplexes.
The project forms part of a larger phase of both permitted and proposed developments.
Westmeath County Council sought additional information from the developer in March, and is due to make a decision on the project today.
