Do It For Dan Fundraiser Reaches Over €1.5 Million

A number of other fundraisers are still underway to keep the donations going.

One man is attempting a modified triathalon of more than 230 kilometres in aid of the Do it for Dan fundraiser.

Gerard Prendergast will complete a 10 kilometre row, 180 kilometre cycle and a 42 kilometre run all within the 2 kilometre radius of his home.

The process is expected to take 12 hours and you'll be able join in or follow isolation man on Zoom this Saturday.

Meanwhile, A Laois-Offaly Fianna Fáil TD is also hoping to raise funds for Dan Donoher.

Sean Fleming, who is shaving his head, is appealing to people to donate to the cause.

The now one-year-old was diagnosed five months ago with Spinal Muscular Atrophy.

Over €2m needs to be raised so he can undergo treatment in the US.

Over €1.5m has been raised so far.
