A documentary about Offaly's last standing nightclub is set to launch later this year.
Filmmakers Gary Hoctor and Nicky Larkin will be producing the documentary, titled 'The Last Dance', telling the 40 year story of Melba's nightclub in Birr.
The nightclub shut its doors for the final time in May of this year.
With so many pubs and nightclubs in rural areas closing, the film also attempts to investigate where young people are spending their free time socialising over recent times.
Mr Hoctor says the Birr nightclub isn't the only venue that's had issues with staying open:
