The HSE is creating ten new full time jobs for a crisis resolution service in the region.
€1.3 million in mental health funding is coming to the midlands.
A new crisis resolution service is being established in the region as part of the 2026 mental health budget.
The investment will see the creation of 10 new full time staff positions for what the HSE is labelling the 'Tullamore/Westmeath' area.
The service will bring rapid assessment and short-term intensive support for adults in crisis, along with community-based care delivered at home or virtually, for up to six weeks.
It's part of a 4 million euro package focusing on early intervention, digital and talking therapies announced by Mental Health Minister Mary Butler.
