€12.3m has been announced altogether for the Clár Programme.
Midlands community groups are in line for €1.4 million in funding.
The money, announced under the Clár Programme, will see over €600,000 allocated to Laois.
Westmeath will receive a €470,000 euro investment, while €340,000 will go to Offaly.
25 groups around the region are in line to benefit from the money, including the Roscomroe Community Devolpment Committee, Castlepollard community and the Raheen Auld School Men's Shed.
Nationally, Minister Calleary is announcing €12.3 million for 206 projects.
This investment will support the development of sports and outdoor facilities such as playgrounds, astro-turf pitches, walkways and more.
