Excitement is building ahead of the 2025 renewal of the festival.
‘Stradbally is the centre of the world this weekend’ - that’s according to Festival Director Melvin Benn.
Electric Picnic will not increase in size next year despite the huge demand for tickets.
This year’s event will see a record 80,000 festivalgoers descend on Stradbally for three days of music and arts.
He believes the current capacity is ideal for the grounds and for festivalgoers alike.
Mr. Benn says the Laois venue is the perfect home for the festival:
Festival goers at Electric Picnic will also have the chance to register to vote in the Presidential election.
An Coimisiún Toghcháin will be on-site all weekend registering people
as part of its nationwide outreach.
The electoral commission will set up a "Ballot Box" hub in the MindField area from Friday to Sunday.
This marks the start of a wider campaign leading up to the autumn Presidential election, with appearances at the Ploughing Championships and college campuses.
Chief Executive of An Coimisiún Toghcháin, Art O'Leary says it's vital people take up the right to vote:
Meanwhile Webdoctor.ie is issuing some tips for fans heading to Electric Picnic this weekend.
Pack for all seasons - or an Irish summer - with a waterproof jacket, warm layers, sturdy footwear, sunglasses and sunscreen.
Take care of hydration and nutrition on the go - bring a refillable water bottle... and some healthy snacks like fruit, nuts or granola bars.
Pace yourself if drinking alcohol... stay in touch with your friends... and be sure to sleep and recharge.
Khaki Kid has announced a headline show at the 3Olympia Theatre.
He'll play the venue on Thursday the 27th of November.
Tickets go on sale this Friday at 9am.
He will also perform at the Electric Arena on Saturday at Electric Picnic.
