Emergency services are dealing with the aftermath of a large fire in Laois.
The blaze broke out in gorse along the N80 at Clonreher outside Portlaoise at about 9.40 last night.
Fire crews from Portlaoise and Mountmellick brought the fire under control by 1am.
No injuries were reported and the N80 was closed for a time due to the smoke.
A crew is back on scene this morning, mopping up any remaining hot-spots in daylight.
