An extension on plans for student accomodation has been granted in the midlands.
Longford based construction firm Avenir Homes, has been given an extension of three years to construct 122 residential units, a 283 student bedspace accommodation and a creche in Athlone.
The project was designed to include a mix of 60 houses and 62 residential apartments.
Planning approval was initially granted in June 2022, with the latest application last month aiming to move the completion deadline of the construction to August 2030.
Westmeath County Council is granting permission subject to 1 condition.
