Iarnrod Eireann is advising commuters to check its website, where a number of timetable changes come into effect from today.
Extra train services will now operate from Newbridge, Hazelhatch, Carlow, Ballina, Charleville and Tullamore.
Other stations to benefit include Dundalk, Drogheda and Rosslare.
