A Fine Gael Spokesperson on Media is speaking on the possibilities of a new broadcasting charge.
The fairest system for a new media broadcasting charge would be to have everyone pay into it.
That's according to Longford Fine Gael Senator, Micheál Carrigy, who says there are 'few and far between' who do not consume any media.
The Media Oireachtas Committee member says a committment has been given by Government to put proposals put in place for an alternative to the TV licence fee before the end of the summer:
