A feasibility study into a new digital, co-working centre in Westmeath has been launched.

Athlone Chamber of Commerce is looking to provide facilities for up to 200 remote workers in a town-centre location.

The study will involve a needs assessment and will explore potential buildings and design costs, and is expected to take six months.

Chamber CEO Gerry McInerney says it's an opportune time to create a sustainable remote working hub:
