The wait is over for students across Laois, Offaly and Westmeath.
The final countdown is on ahead of today’s Leaving Certificate results release.
From 10am, students can access them via the State Examinations Commission’s online portal and through schools nationwide.
Over 71,000 students sat the Leaving Certificate exams this year, and will have to wait until next Wednesday until course points are released.
Guidance Counsellor, Mullingar's Betty McLaughlin has this advice for students receiving results this morning:
Students around the country are receiving their leaving cert results, as the state examinations commission has just opened its portal.
Some are getting their all-important envelopes at schools, while others are expected to access results online.
The State Examinations Commission says 10.1% percent of students received a H1 grade this year, compared with 11.7% last year.
Ordinary level grades also dropped, with just 2.7% of people receiving a top mark.
Its in line with the Government's commitment to gradually reduce the points inflation that resulted after students had to rely on predicted grades during the Covid-19 pandemic.
For the first time more than 300 students with complex learning and development needs are getting results for completing the L1 and L2 Learning Programmes.
