Protests in the area turned violent on Monday night.

A fire broke out in Coolock in Dublin last night at a site earmarked for asylum seekers on the Malahide Road.

Dublin Fire Brigade says two fire engines were on scene at the former Crowne Paints building - Gardaí also attended the scene.

It's after violence broke out at the site on Monday night, where rocks and missiles were hurled during a protest.

Anyone affected by the Coolock riots earlier this week are being asked to reach out to Turn2Me, which is offering free mental health support.
