It's part of a €20m investment from the government.
The midlands is in line to benefit from the addition of four new fire engines.
Housing Minister Darragh O'Brien has announced a €20 million investment for the provision of 40 "Class B" applicances around the country.
They are the first vehicles mobilised to the scene of an incident, and typically store around 1,800 litres of water, as well as hoses, a ladder and breathing equipment.
Laois Fire Service will receive two new engines as a result, while Westmeath and Offaly have each been allocated one.
The vehicles will be delivered in three trenches between now and 2025.
