FTD Brothers Take Off From Offaly

The brothers ran through the midlands on their journey.

The FTD brothers are currently running the final leg of their tour of the Midlands as part of their campaign to raise funds and awareness of dementia.

Jordan and Cian Adams have already raised just over €1.7m for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland and their own foundation.

The brothers, who lost their Irish mother Geraldine to dementia at the age of 52, ran through Mullingar earlier this month, Portlaoise yesterday and are in Tullamore today.

By the time they reach Dublin on Thursday, they will have ran 33 marathons in 33 days.

Jordan says their Mum inspired them to run in Ireland:

Supporters across the Midlands are braving the heat and coming out to support the FTD Brothers as they continue their run this morning.

Jordan and Cian Adams are aiming to help raise awareness of frontotemporal dementia and raise funds for support organisations.

The brothers ran through Portlaoise yesterday and are starting in Tullamore today.

These people are planning to join the run and say it's full of community spirit:
