HAP Payment Could Help Avoid Evictions - IPAV

Cabinet Ministers will discuss a moratorium on notices to quit this evening.

The Tánaiste says the Government isn't considering a ban on evictions.

Instead, Leo Varadkar said the process would be to introduce a moratorium on notices to quit.

Organisations involved in helping homeless people have been meeting Minister for Housing Darragh O'Brien to discuss the issue.

Chief executive of the Institute of Professional Auctioneers & Valuers, Castlepollard's Pat Davitt, suggested the HAP payment could help avoid evictions:
