The HSE’s Dublin and Midlands region had its authority over spending withdrawn.
The estimated overrun at the HSE is €760 million for the year.
Health Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill gave the figures after two thirds of the HSE's regions, including the Dublin and Midlands area, were stripped of their spending oversight.
The Minister still has confidence in the management of those regions, but budgets have to be reined in to bring down the estimated overspend:
