Those looking for out of hours GP service can access it until January 15th, at least.
Midlands patients will still have access to out of hours healthcare in the early stages of the new year.
The HSE say a third party agency has been sourced for appropriate cover until January 15th.
The MIDOC GP service covers Tullamore, Portlaoise, Mullingar, and Longford.
From January first, patients call the same number and attend the existing treatment centres as directed.
Athlone GP Out of Hours is a separate entity and remains unaffected.
The HSE say they will provide ongoing updates regarding the situation as it develops.
