Ballinakill's Francie Gorman says road safety should be the priority of both the IFA and Irish Road Haulage Association.

The Irish Farmers Association is defending tractors driving on the motorways insisting they have the legal requirements needed.

Tractors can currently travel on the motorway if they can keep a speed up of to 50 km/h.

The Irish Road Haulage Association feels a ban is needed due to road safety concerns.

They're asking the Government to work with the IFA and Road Safety Authority to achieve this.
