An IBTS clinic will be open in Portarlington this week.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service is urgently seeking donors for blood supplies of O Negative, A Negative, and B Negative.
It is down to just over three days worth of supplies.
Donation clinics will be open in Portarlington on Wednesday afternoon from 3.30pm to 8.10pm.
The IBTS has issued a pre-amber alert for the shortage, which requests conservative use of blood by all hospitals.
