NPHET says the situation in the county is now broadly similar to the rest of the country.
Local lockdown restrictions are being lifted in Kildare with immediate effect.
The decision's been made as enough progress has been made in reducing the spread of Covid-19 in the county.
Kildare's been on partial lockdown for over three weeks, but that's now been lifted.
When the local restrictions were brought in, the rolling 5-day average was 22.2 cases.
Now it's 10.8 cases.
75 cases were confirmed in Kildare over the past week, compared to 238 cases three weeks ago.
NPHET met earlier and recommended the restrictions be removed immediately.
The Cabinet held a meeting at 3.30 and signed off on lifting lockdown.
Taoiseach Michael Martin says today's move was only possible because of the people of Kildare - their extra effort, their sacrifices and their patience.
