The driver also failed a drug test.
A learner driver in Laois has been arrested after failing a drug test for cannabis- and for having a uninsured car.
The driver was initially stopped at a checkpoint on the Laois Road for driving unaccompanied.
A further check found that the cars tax had expired over three years ago-with its NCT expiring over five years ago.
Cannabis was also found on the drivers person which led to their arrest after failing a drug test - and agricultural diesel was found in the vehicle.
Court proceedings have commenced.
