A status yellow high temperature warning for nine counties has been extended into Friday evening.
20 counties in the midlands, west and south are already under a similar advisory until 6am tomorrow.

The Department of Enterprise has agreed the move with the National Parks and Wildlife Service, following a request from the National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management.
A fire danger notice is currently in place until midday on Friday, but could be extended as dry conditions continue.
The recommendation comes as disposable barbecues are blamed for a blaze in Killarney National Park this week.
