Just under a 100 homes will be delivered in Tullamore.
An Bord Pleanála has upheld a decision to grant planning permission for a major residential development in Offaly.
Tullamore Vita Stilo Limited had been seeking approval for the construction of 98 homes, a creche, a remote working hub and a gym on the Clara Road in Tullamore.
The development forms part of the Redwood Residential Project, and will be named ‘Hayfield,’ a reference to the location known as ‘Kearney’s Field.’
Offaly County Council granted planning permission for the project in March, but that decision was subject to a number of appeals to An Bord Pleanála.
The Board's inspector has upheld the decision to grant approval, and says the development would not unduly impact on the enviroment, and also says it would align with policy objectives for the area.
They recommended granting planning permission, subject to 18 conditions.
