Midlands Ambassador Urges Older People To Stay Active And Engaged

Today marked International Day of Older Persons.

A midlands Age Friendly Ambassador is encouraging older people to get involved in organisations and stay active. 

International Day of Older Persons is being celebrated today to recognise the vital role, lived experience, and rights of older people in local communities. 

With Ireland’s population aged 65 and over projected to double by 2050, Age Friendly Ambassadors are using this moment to confront ageism and to advocate for dignity in later life.
