The Kilmullen/Coolnafearagh Solar Action Group have concerns on the BNRG development.
Midlands communities objecting to plans for a major solar farm in the area are coming together for a public meeting this evening.
BNRG's proposal would see a 148 acre development spread across two sites.
One in Kilmullen, in Laois at 17 hectares, and two neighbouring farms located to its east in Coolnafearagh, in Kildare making up the remaining 35 hectares.
The Kilmullen/Coolnafearagh Solar Action Group is concerned about the environmental impact of the project, as well as safety risks on the busy Kilmullen road.
