The Just Transition Commission has released a new public transport report today.

People in the Midlands are ready to embrace sustainability if they're given fair and equal access.

That's according to the Just Transition Commission which has released a new report on the future of the country's public transport today.

It calls for safe and reliable alternatives to car travel in rural areas and is issuing eight recommendations aimed at reducing transport emissions.

Chair of the Commission, Ali Sheridan says the evidence clearly shows people are ready to take the bus when the opportunity is there:
