Weather forecasts are showing the hottest spell of weather for the region since 2022.

We could be seeing the hottest spell of weather since 2022 in the Midlands this week.

Forecasts are showing a likely heatwave, with temperatures getting into the mid 20's this week, or even as high as 30 degrees by next weekend.

A heatwave is possible if temperatures stay consistently above 25 degrees for five days or more.
