Two projects in Offaly and one in Longford will benefit.

Four regeneration projects in the midlands will receive over €1.4 million in government funding.

Plans submitted for the development of Banagher have been awarded €395,250.

While a cycle and walkway project linking West Cork and Cavan, that passes through Offaly is getting €300,000.

Castlepollard in Westmeath is also receiving €311,250 for a community development project.

And a tourism project in Lanesborough Co.Longford is being given €468,750.

All projects are the beneficiaries of a €13 million pay out from the Rural Regeneration and Development Fund.
