Westmeath remains the most expensive county in the region in terms of housing, with the average newly-built home setting you back €261,000 .
That's followed by the figure in Offaly, where the average cost of a home is €243,000.
If you're looking for value for money, Laois is likely going to be the most attractive county in the region, with the average price being €235,000.
Nationally, house prices have fallen by point three percent, and now sit at €308,000.
