They were found to be complaint in all areas but one.
A "calm, friendly and relaxed atmosphere," with "patient, caring and kind" staff.
That's how the Health Watchdog is describing St. Camillus Nursing Centre in Killucan in its latest report.
The centre was found to be compliant or substantially compliant in all areas with the exception of one - that being records, where it was highlighted as being non-compliant.
HIQA says some staff personnel files didn't contain all neccesary information, and some weren't accessible.
But, the centre says a Staff File Audit Tool is now in place to ensure that staff files are maintained in accordance with the Regulations.
Residents told inspectors the staff in St. Camillus Nursing Centre were attentive to their needs, and were always greeted with "respect, kindness, and friendliness."
Inspectors noted the premises was appropriately decorated, well-lit, clean, and warm for residents.
However the report says some bedrooms, storage areas, and corridors were not appropriately maintained.
It highlights paint on walls and skirting was visibly chipped, doors were visibly damaged, and floor coverings were damaged and uneven.
The centre says those areas have been added to the Maintenance Planner.
