Over 160 schools across the country have been approved by the Minister for Social Protection for hot school meals, starting in September.
The National Programme has grown to now incorporate 2,200 primary schools with more than 345,000 students benefiting.
Included in the announcement from Minister Heather Humphreys are four schools in the midlands, Saint Abban's Primary School and Presentation Primary School in Laois, Naomh Eoin National School in Offaly and Coole National School in Westmeath.
