The figures are going in the same direction nationally as well.
The number of notices of termination issued in the midlands in the third quarter of the year has fallen by nearly a third.
New figures from the Rental Tenancies Board show there have been 177 notices issued in the region last quarter, compared to 260 between April and June.
Laois accounts for the highest number of those, at 71 - that's followed by a figure of 68 in Westmeath, and 38 in Offaly.
Nationally, just over four thousand 500 termination notices were issued by landlords - a drop of more than one thousand compared to the second quarter of the year.
