Gardai have launched an investigation after a motorist drove through the barriers of a level crossing in Roscommon this morning.
A red van smashed through the barrier at Knockroghery before 9am which led to knock on delays for all train services running to and from Westport.

The route serves Portarlington, Tullamore, Clara and Athlone.
The damage has been repaired and services are now running as scheduled.
