Met Eireann is warning temperatures could reach the low 30s in parts of the country from Friday.
There's also a warning of uncomfortable sleeping conditions between now and next Monday night, with values not expected to dip below 15 degrees at nighttime.
However, Meteorologist with Ireland's Weather Channel, Offaly's Cathal Nolan, says the coming days won't feel as warm as during the last heatwave at the end of June:
