Gardaí are continuing their search for a missing man at Lough Ennell in Westmeath.
Gardaí are continuing to carry out searches on a Midlands Lake for a missing man after his fishing boat was found abandoned on an island in the lake.
A man in his 20s was reported missing in Lough Ennell over the weekend with a search operation being coordinated by local Gardaí and the Garda Water Unit, with assistance from local sub aqua teams, Civil Defence and the Garda Dog Unit.
A 17-foot fishing boat belonging to the man was discovered abandoned on an island in Lough Ennell.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity between 12:30am and 6pm on Saturday and may have observed a man in a fishing boat to make contact.
